Looking to unwind after a day of weekend activities? There’s nothing like a little music against a beautiful waterfront setting to soothe the soul. The Windsor Symphony Orchestra’s FREE Summer Concert Series, Sunsets & Quintets, features the WSO Woodwind Quintet with performances at Lakeside Park in Kingsville, Lakeview Park in Belle River and Reaume Park, by the Peace Fountain, in Windsor.
This is a great opportunity to gather with family for a relaxing evening of chamber music performed by the superb musicians of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. The opening performances feature music from Strauss, Gershwin, Mozart and Tchaikovsky performed by WSO musicians Liesel Deppe, flute; Faith Scholfield, oboe; Trevor Pittman, clarinet; Julie Shire, bassoon (Saturday & Sunday); Stephanie Konchel, Bassoon (Friday); and Kelly Daniels, Horn. The Sunsets and Quintets Music Series is absolutely free and a great way to experience the fabulous waterfront parks that Windsor/ Essex has to offer.
