Hee Haw, Rock N'Rodeo Comes to Town May 17 & 18, 2014!

The largest rodeo event in southwestern Ontario, the ‘Country 95.9/92.7 ROCK N RODEO’

was ‘VOTED BEST RODEO OF THE YEAR’ by the Ontario Rodeo Association and this year’s event promises to be another action packed weekend! This fun family event will take place on Victoria Weekend, May 17- 18 at the Canadian Transportation Museum & Heritage Village, 6155 Arner Town Line in Essex. 

 

It is the first stop of the 2014 ‘New Holland Elite Rodeo Series’ produced by Wild Horse Productions with powerful Bucking Broncos and the world’s most dangerous sport...bull riding!


The headliner band, ‘Brett Kissel’ just won the JUNO Award, ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ at the recent 2014 Canadian Music Awards where he was also nominated for ‘Best Country Album of the Year’.  As well, several hot country artists lined up throughout the weekend! 


Watch the beautiful ‘Canadian Cowgirls Precision Drill Team’, the ‘Bull N Barrel ROCK N RODEO Queen Contest, the famous ‘Dog Race’, the SOTC Horse SPEED Show or the Horse ‘Round-Up’ showcasing different breeds, disciplines and local champions.  Take a ride on the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon, the mechanical bull or a horse drawn wagon ride through Heritage Village.


Visit the educational demonstration tent, take a museum tour or get Line Dancing Lessons from the Bull N Barrel in the food corral. Walk through Vendor Village, get a Pony Ride or visit the Petting Zoo.  A traditional ‘Cowboy Church Service’ on Sunday also will take place which has been designated as ‘FAMILY DAY’ where kids 12 and under are FREE all day!
