Drop Dead Famous Plays For Special Reunion September 26, 2013

Local band Drop Dead Famous (DDF) will be performing their song “FOR YOU”,  a song about a soldier leaving for battle, at The Kilt & Fiddle Irish Pub, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 9 pm for visiting guests of the First Special Service Force Reunion.

After hearing the song Retired Sergeant and Paratrooper Jeff Gravel said “I like the band and the message.  It highlights families and the over-looked sacrifices they have to make as well.  It’s nice to see an outside perspective.  I don’t always know how to appropriately say thank-you and with a lack of publicity for the rest of the family members it’s nice to bring it back to the forefront.”

Lead vocal Rob Higgins says, “It would be great if this song could act as a reminder to the general public about the huge sacrifice so many soldiers still make leaving their families everyday to insure our freedom.”

Thursday night will also serve as a fundraiser for “Wounded Warriors”.  Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Forces members who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada.
