Amherstburg –
The Essex Region Conservation Foundation is calling all runners, walkers, and
Santa enthusiasts to don a Santa suit and running shoes on November 16th,
2013 to race along a five kilometre route for the 5th annual Super
Santa Run.
This incredible five
kilometre fun run will take place just prior to the Amherstburg River Lights
Festival opening ceremonies. All participants will receive a FREE 5 piece
Santa suit to wear for the run, including a traditional red jacket and pants,
belt, beard, and of course, Santa hat.
“This is event is fun
for the whole family. In addition to promoting healthy and active living,
it is a great way to kick off the holiday season,” said Foundation President
Ken Schmidt.
All funds raised will
go to the Essex Region Conservation Foundation. Join in the jolly fun and

The Essex Region Conservation
Foundation has been working with the Essex Region Conservation Authority to
raise the funds to protect and improve our local environment and water quality
in the Great Lakes. Protecting existing natural areas, planting trees and
building trails are just some of the successes that the Foundation has realized
over the past three decades.
