Celebrate Biz X Friend Arms Bumanlag's 30th On Dec 2 With Us!

Up in Arms Birthday Bash/Charity Concert
Koko Pellie's will be the place to be Friday December 2nd as local Radio and Television personality Arms Bumanlag will once again be celebrating his birthday with a charity concert event.

Sparky’s Toy Drive will be the recipient of the proceeds and guests are being asked to bring a new unwrapped toy or five dollar cover charge as admission. Sparky’s Toy Drive is organized by a group of Windsor Firefighters and provides toys at Christmas to underprivileged children in the area.

With the campaign coming to a close and Christmas fast approaching the need for toys is still there. Bumanlag will be marking his milestone 30th year on the planet with a concert by the band Short Notice and there will be entertainment, wine tasting and door prizes throughout the evening.

So come on down and party like a weatherman as Arms embraces the big 3-Oh in style and helps out a great local cause. Doors open at 8 PM for this 19+ event and the forecast calls for fun and friends. Koko Pellie's is located at 110 Chatham Street West in downtown Windsor.

Jingle Ball this Friday

This Friday December 10th there is an event happening that is both a celebration and a fundraiser. Local television, radio and media personality Arms Bumanlag is hosting the 2nd annual Jingle Ball to benefit Windsor firefighters Sparky’s Toy Drive as well as marking his 29th birthday in style. Koko Pellie's will be the place to be this Friday as Drop Dead Famous rocks the house and Arms himself spins tunes in between sets. The price of admission? An unwrapped toy or $5 at the door will all go to help those less fortunate kids in the area have the Christmas that they deserve. Last year the “Up in Arms” charity event raised over $3000 for the Cancer Society, this year organizers are hoping to top this amount for Sparky and celebrate Arm’s final year as a twenty something. Yours truly will be there along with Biz X staffers, media people as well as friends and family. So come on out with a toy and have some fun this Friday night at Koko Pellie’s. The party gets underway at 8:00 and is sure to be a fun time while supporting a great cause. See you there!

Partying for a Cause

On Friday December 11th local radio personality and fellow Biz X writer Arms Bumanlag will be hosting a party downtown at Dean Martinis to celebrate his 28th birthday. I barely remember what it was like to be south of thirty but can still stay out late with the best of them. In fact it’s a Biz X standard these days buts that’s a topic for another blog entry. Known as the “Up in Arms Birthday Bash” the event will feature some of the areas best bands playing everything from classic rock to Top 40 and feature Arms himself in his debut spinning stacks of wax and mixing it up in the booth high above the dance floor. There will also be prizes, food and merchandise for sale. Ever the community minded individual Arms has also used the opportunity to promote a cause close to his heart. Cancer has/ will touch just about everyone and is still cutting short far too many lives. Proceeds from the event will go to the Canadian Cancer Society to help people and their families that battle this deadly disease every day.
