- Sept. 7: The Essex County OPP presents the
inaugural “Law
Enforcement Torch Ride”
for Special Olympics Ontario. The ride starts from the Knights of Columbus in
Emeryville (1303 County Road 22) beginning at 10 a.m., with registration
starting at 8 a.m.
The motorcycle ride (leaves at 10:30 am sharp) takes riders along the shoreline of Essex County to raise funds in support of Special Olympics Ontario. A pasta luncheon at noon takes place for general public with fun for the whole family ($15 and kids under 5 can eat for free).
Register online at TorchRideOntario.com. The $30 registration fee is waived if riders raise $150 or more. Registration includes a free pasta lunch. Passengers $20.
