Get those togas ready for the 7th Annual Roman Festival Gala on Friday, September 19th at the Ciociaro Club . . . Some new and exciting things await!

As the doors open at 6:30 pm,  guests enter the amazing Roman Forum created especially for this evening, a colossal antipasto buffet awaits to tantalize your taste buds.  The Wine Goddesses will serve your wine while live music serenades you.  You will then welcome Caesar and his entourage into the Forum, to exhilarating music and enjoy the belly dancers who will perform for him.  A five-course meal will then be served . . . but leave room . . . the porchetta and focaccia will be rolled out at 11 pm!

New This Year … “The Assassination of Caesar” by Theatre Ensemble and directed by John Anthony Nabben.  This 20-minute mini play will bring you right into Caesar’s banquet hall with all the passion and action, as Cleopatra, Mark Anthony and more return to relive this iconic moment in history!

Dance the night away to great music by One Man Out band and be sure to take lots of pictures at one of the amazing photo ops, such as the chariots or Caesars’ throne.  You choose the location and Visual Expressions will capture the moment and develop your photo on-site for you to take home.

Great prizes will be raffled off, including jewellery; an evening gown; gift cards; a TV and more.  Net proceeds to benefit the Palliative Care program in Windsor.  Togas for the evening are optional.

The Roman Festival originated in 1969 by the Canadian Italian Business Professional Association (CIBPA).  It continued until the late 90’ and then took a hiatus.  It was brought back by the current Roman Festival Gala Committee, in collaboration with CIBPA and this is the seventh year of the event since it’s re-launch. For tickets, visit the Ciociaro Club; Guaranteed A Fine Furniture; F&J Collision or for further information, contact Ermanna Filice, Committee Chairperson at (519) 258-7579 or (519) 982-0817.
